GISS 2021
THE 2021 GREATER IPAC SCIENCE SYMPOSIUM

The twenty-first annual Greater IPAC Science Symposium will be held from August 2nd to August 5th 2021, Monday through Thursday. This year we will have again a virtual symposium, broadcasted via Zoom ! The Science Symposium is a forum for presenting, discussing and learning more about the diverse research that is being carried out across the Greater IPAC. The GISS is open to all interested people from the science community - within IPAC, JPL, Caltech, and beyond - who would like to learn more about the work being done at IPAC.

Format will be 10 minute oral talks. The talks are meant to be informal, and some levity is encouraged!

  • Want to share some preliminary/exciting results?
  • Wondering who all those post-docs and students are?
  • Who is that person you keep seeing at the virtual All Hands?
  • What do all these people around here actually do, anyway?

Here's where you can find out!

The GISS will include a number of invited speakers, and an additional highlight will be the "State of IPAC" presentation by Executive Director George Helou.

***All projects are being asked to cancel project meetings during the Symposium, and to give consideration of the meeting when assigning deadlines.
