************************************************************** ************************************************************** THE FOURTH ANNUAL GREATER IPAC SCIENCE SYMPOSIUM >>>> CALL FOR TITLES <<<< Title Deadline: Tuesday, 25 February 2003 Symposium: Date: 6 and 7 March, 2003 Location: Winnett Lounge, Caltech Reception: Chandler Hall, 7 March 5-7pm ************************************************************** ************************************************************** The Fourth Annual Greater IPAC Science Symposium will be held on Thursday and Friday, March 6 and 7, 2003. The format of the Symposium will be ~15 minute contributed science talks by Greater IPAC staff (IPAC, SSC, MSC), along with one or two special Invited Talks each day given by an IPAC staff member. The Symposium will be concluded with the "State of IPAC" presentation by Executive Director George Helou, followed by a catered reception at Chandler Hall. All Greater IPAC staff are welcome and encouraged to attend. For those of you new to IPAC, the Science Symposium is a forum for all staff of IPAC, the SIRTF Science Center and the Michelson Science Center to present, discuss and learn about the diverse research that is being carried out at the "Greater IPAC." IPAC staff members who wish to make a contributed science presentation are asked to submit a talk title no later than Tuesday, February 25 to Roc Cutri (roc@ipac.caltech.edu). Email submission is preferred. If the topic of your presentation is not immediately apparent from the title, please provide a descriptive sentence for scheduling purposes. Abstracts are not necessary. The atmosphere of the Symposium is intended to be fun and informal, and the location, the Winnett Lounge (upstairs from the Caltech Bookstore), is designed to get us away from our offices and project work. Preferred attire for the Symposium includes a Hawaiian shirt. Don't embarass yourself by being the only one there not wearing one, so start shopping now. For questions and title submissions, please contact Roc Cutri (roc@ipac.caltech.edu) or Bill Latter (latter@ipac.caltech.edu), GISS Co-chairs.
